Running alongside Wild Trumpets gallery exhibitions, these artist-led sessions invite children aged 4-11 into hands-on encounters with contemporary art practice.

Working directly with practicing artists, children explore real materials and processes - from large-scale painting and sculpture to wearable art and installation. Each session responds to the current exhibition, creating a dialogue between professional art practice and young creative minds.

There are no fixed outcomes, grades, or conventional teaching structures. Instead, children work as collaborators in an active studio environment, experimenting with the same materials and concepts that contemporary artists use.

These sessions create a bridge between gallery and studio, inviting families to experience art as both viewers and makers. Children leave with their own artworks and a deeper understanding of how contemporary art happens - messy, experimental, and full of possibility.
